THE VEDIC TRUTH AND SRI RAMKRISHNA DEVA AS A HINDU
19.
Sri Ramkrishna in his emotional mood says: – “Brahmajnan? I’d have none of it!
I bow down to thee for a million of times – may you remain far, far away from
me”.
(i) Sri Ramkrishna was
perpetually in terror of Brahmajanana as it was but a no-ego-state, or
consciousness of ego does not remain. It is ‘Laya Yoga’ and it is not
Brahmajnana at all. This Laya Yoga was Brahmajnana or the Supreme Knowledge and
it was so taught to him by the itinerant monk Totapuri who initiated him in the
knowledge of Vedanta. This Laya Yoga is even now reckoned as the Supreme
Knowledge because none is blessed with the actual or real Brahmajanan as
specified in the Vedas and up to the date no past record could be traced, save
and except that it is only and simply mentioned in the Vedas “Twam Jato Bhavasi
Viswatomukha” or “One is all and all is One”. So in course of time Sri
Ramkrishna became disgusted with no-ego-state as I do not want to remain in
that unconscious zone.
The great Srimad Bhagavat
states that ‘Unmadabat’ or insanity is the insignia of the Supreme Knowledge.
He was perfectly acquainted with the teachings of Bhagavata – an epic, one of
the most beautiful poetic creations having the outline of emotional and
devotional religion. Sri Ramkrishna himself became mad and remained in the
state of madness for seven years. He was restored to a normal state by the
treatment of the then most eminent Kaviraja of Calcutta. Still he (Sri
Ramkrishna) used to complain that this feat of insanity visited him though
occasionally. So, the ‘Supreme Knowledge’ from both the quaters of (1) Laya
Yoga, as well as (2) The Bhagavata, Sri Ramkrishna had no other alternative
than to raise this hue and cry against ‘Brahmajnana’.
(ii) The Supreme Knowledge is
“One is All and All is One” or I am the whole humanity and further this
knowledge is bestowed by the human race upon the very man with whom the mankind
bears the mark of Oneness in the form of his replica in the Atmic zone in their
own bodies.
A man bearing the diploma of
an Avatar cannot be ‘One’ with the rest of the humanity as otherwise he shall
have a fall from the peacock throne of Avatarism.
